All titles have been professionally manufactured using the original NASA cinefilm / HD source and each disk features appropriate imagery and information, each disk supplied sealed in a paper & plastic sleeve. Shuttle mission STS-54 realised what had been hoped for Christa McAuliffe and the "Teacher in Space" project which ended tragically when the Shuttle Challenger exploded shortly after launch. During their mission in space, the entire crew of STS-54 hosted a lesson from space demonstrating how toys behave in zero-gravity. The lesson was was broadcast live to schools across America and had a direct link to some schools allowing the children to ask specific questions and have the astronauts answer live from space.
Presented by mission Commander John Casper, this DVD starts with a brief five minute introduction to the crew and highlights the mission objectives.
