    A rare and seldom seen cover issued at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida. Commemorating the Space Shuttle Flight Readiness Firing of OV-102 Columbia when all the Shuttle main engines were fired in a simulated launch test. This was the first flight readiness firing of its type in the entire Shuttle programme. The cover has been cancelled at the NASA Kennedy Space Center in Florida on the morning of the 20th February 1981; the exact date of the test.

    A rare and seldom seen cover issued at NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center in Alabama. Commemorating the Space Shuttle Orbiter simulator practice of the Mate - Demate procedure of the Shuttle Orbiter to the 747 Shuttle Carrier Aircraft. The cover has been cancelled at the NASA Marshall Space Flight Center in Alabama on the 16th February 1978; the actual date of the tests. Accompanied by a large 8x10" colour lithograph on Kodak photo paper of the Space Shuttle Enterprise mate-demate tests.

     - Enterprise Test Project Transport Flight Cover

    In 1977 the Shuttle Enterprise successfully completed a nine-month long series of Approach and Landing Tests at NASA's Drydon Flight Research Center (DFRC). Following these test flights Enterprise was flown piggyback atop the NASA 747 Shuttle Carrier Aircraft to NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) to undergo extensive vertical ground vibration tests as a complete system mounted to an External Tank and Solid Rocket Boosters as part of the Shuttle Test Project.
    This rare and seldom seen commemorative cover is an official issue from Rockwell International; the prime contractor for the design, development and test of the Space Shuttle Orbiter. It commemorates the transport of the Enterprise atop NASA's 747 Shuttle Carrier Aircraft from the Dryden Flight Research Center after the Approach and Landing Tests, to the Marshall Space Flight Center (via the Johnson Space Center) for vibration tests. The cover is cancelled in Huntsville, Alabama on the 13th March 1978. Wonderful.

    This limited edition medal was minted and issued by the Franklin Mint in 1981 for all people who were "eyewitness" to the first Space Shuttle mission; STS-1 Columbia. Solid bronze and high quality detail, 1.5" (39mm) diameter and supplied as issued. The front depicts the landing of Columbia at Edwards Air Force Base following her successful maiden flight. The reverse features the crew of Robert Crippen and John Young aside the STS-1 mission emblem with the inscription "The Worlds First Successful Re-usable Spacecraft. Crew: John W. Young, Capt. An ideal choice for any collector seeking only official NASA items. Enamelled pin features the STS-1 mission emblem superimposed across the U.S. flag with the inscription "1981 - 1991. 10th Anniversary". The reverse confirms the authenticity of this official pin by reading "Manned Flight Awareness. Commemorating the First Flight of the Space Shuttle. April 12-14, 1981.". The pin is over 14 years old and slightly discoloured due its age which is common with this manufacturing style of coated enamelled pin badge.

    The STS-3 mission was the third of four test flights before the Shuttle was scheduled for fully operational missions. This official NASA corporate award medal is made, in part, using metal removed from the Shuttle Columbia following the STS-3 mission. The front features the Space Shuttle Columbia with the text "Going To Work In Space" and " STS-3 Columbia. March 1982". The reverse reads; "This medallion was made in part from metal that was flown in space aboard the Space Shuttle Columbia, March 22-30, 1982.", signed by the STS-3 crew. This is one of the rarest NASA Manned Flight Awareness award medals to acquire. Awarded as an official NASA token of appreciation to ground support staff involved in the Shuttle programme.     Mission STS-51D / Discovery.
    Date Launched 12th April 1985. Landing 19th April 1985.
    Highlights 16th Shuttle mission. 4th flight of Discovery. 5th KSC landing.
    This Official Centennial Seal commemorates the 100th anniversary of the dedication of the Statue of Liberty. Using actual copper removed from the Statue of Liberty during restoration, two 15" replicas were carefully molded and flown in space aboard the Space Shuttle Discovery, mission 51D in April 1985. Following the mission, one replica was placed on display at the refurbished Statue of Liberty and the other was melted down to make these special Centennial Seals.
    The actual seal measures 3.25" in diameter on a certificate issued by the Statue of Liberty Centennial Commission. This is stored in a first day cover bearing the official 22c postal stamp of F.A. Bartholdi, the Statue of Liberty sculptor, and franked/cancelled in New York City on the actual day of the Centennial dedication. Measures 8" x 6". Official Centennial Commission issue, absolute mint condition. A most unusual, unique collectible !!!

    Highlights NASA's Return To Space After The Challenger Disaster.
    The flag is mounted in traditional NASA style to an illustrated certificate which bears the below declaration of authenticity and auto-signed by NASA Administrator James Fletcher and Director of the Johnson Space Center; Aaron Cohen.

    This National Aeronautics and Space Administration flag
    was flown aboard the Orbiter "Discovery", STS-26,
    September 29 - October 3, 1998, commemorating the
    National Space Transportation System "Return to Flight".
    Certificate features the launch of STS-26 Discovery, the mission emblem, landing of STS-26 Discovery, golden NASA emblem, the inscription "STS-26 Commemorative" and the name of the NASA JSC employee who worked on this historic Return to Flight mission and received this official NASA flown commemorative in appreciation for their efforts.
    Measures: 14" x 11" (5.5" x 4" flag) and ideal for framing.
    Excellent condition; only a few extreme minor imperfections on the certification which is to be expected considering its age but nothing serious and nothing to deter from the beauty and value of this historic item.

    Date Launched 2nd December 1993. Landed 13th December 1993.
    Highlights First Hubble Space Telescope Service Mission.
    With its very heavy work-load, the STS-61 mission was one of the most sophisticated in the Shuttle's history. It lasted almost 11 days and crew members made five EVA's, an all-time record. STS-61 was the first Hubble Space Telescope servicing mission and had three primary objectives: restoring the planned scientific capabilities, restoring reliability of HST's systems and validating the HST on-orbit servicing concept.
